Transitioning a brand from local favorite to national eCommerce competitor.

The Grove began life as a popular food truck delivering fresh, good-for-you juices and smoothies all around Buffalo, NY. As their business evolved, they began to get more and more requests for an “at home” version of their product and ultimately decided to launch an eCommerce website offering a variety of smoothie preparation kits and other items available on a subscription basis.

‍

To help the Grove transition from a local brand to something ready to compete on a more national scale, our design team focused on creating a comprehensive vision that would provide structure to all of the various touchpoints necessary for eCommerce (from web presence to social media to packaging and all points in between).

‍

Any eCommerce company will be faced with a deep pool of competitors vying for the same slice of consumer’s wallets. In order to help the Grove capture people’s attention and quickly (almost instinctually) communicate the quality of their offering, Mr. Smith developed a bright visual palette with design rules established to give each product line (juices, smoothie prep kits, and cleanses) its own robust, individual feel that still remains closely aligned with the overall Grove presentation.

‍

The Grove doesn’t just want you to buy their products. They want to create empowered consumers who become advocates for their own health. Their unique smoothie preparation kits deliver all of the ingredients necessary to take control of your health, and many of the loyal food truck followers are now consistent delivery customers. Both their social media followers and website conversions have grown by over 60%.

Mr. Smith was chosen as agency partner responsible for Print & Packaging Design, UX/UI Design, Photography, and Art Direction.
