Developing custom web solutions for a high-profile brand.

What do you get when you combine an international rock star with a brand-new arena in the heart of one of America’s most distinctive cities? Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit Restaurant (located inside Little Caesar’s arena, home of the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings and NBA’s Detroit Pistons)… As an original anchor tenant in the arena, Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit enjoys certain advantages while the arena is in use (i.e. having 20,000 people in the building), but it will also be open for business during non-event hours as well. That’s where the Mr. Smith team was able to shine when helping develop the website.

One core strategy of Made in Detroit is a robust schedule of live events (music, promotions, etc.) that are meant to capture people’s interest and convert it into action. In order to make the promotion of these events as easy for the Made in Detroit team as possible, Mr. Smith developed a custom solution that automatically ports their Facebook event postings directly to the website, where people can then easily add that event to their calendar. Furthermore, we added a custom Yelp integration that automatically highlights positive reviews of the restaurant to positively influence anyone visiting the website.

Mr. Smith was responsible for the overall Web Identity, UX/UI, Website Design, and Custom Back-End Development.
